Do you love comics? Write for us! Reviews are usually between 500 and 750 words in length. The main points a review should touch upon are art, writing, and story. Longer reviews should go deep, not only exploring what happens in a book, but also what the story is about. For example, the lauded Waid/Ross comic Kingdom Come told a story in which a battle takes place between the old guard superheroes and the new generation of metahumans. That's what happens, but the story is about rediscovering personal faith, among other things.

Shorter reviews should go one step beyond simple declarative statements that the art was fabulous or the writing was awful. If you loved the art, what about it moved you? If you hated the writing, let the reader know exactly why you were moved to make such strong a statement.

    style

We seek solid, thoughtful writing. Spelling and grammar count. As you can see from this page, a relaxed conversational tone is in order. No profanity please.
