The villainess Silver Banshee returns to nourish herself on the fears and nightmares of the citizens of Metropolis. It is Halloween and the citizens of metropolis are enjoying the evening when the Silver Banshee wreaks havoc upon the unsuspecting trick-or-treaters who thinks she is someone in make-up here for the festivities. The Silver Banshee is best described as a vampire that draws on your fears, sucking the life out of you.

The story, written by Chuck Austen, is very dark and freighting. The build-up for the first victim sets the whole range of emotions for the characters in the story. The writer also makes you feel that Superman really takes his role as protector and guardian to heart and no matter what The Silver Banshee throws at him, Superman will prevail.

The artwork by Carlos D' Anda (guest artist) is really quite good. The angles drawn of superman in the panels are penciled very well. The expressions and the realism of action are done very poetically. The scenes of Silver Banshee using her persuasion of casting fear and chaos is very well expressed. The coloring by Guy Majors is very eerie and electrifying, and the uses of subtle tones of blue bring out the Banshee's aura of destruction.

This book is really a good read and is very intriguing. Look for guest appearances by The Creeper and also, yes must I say it, OK yes I must say it, DOOMSDAY.
