The Justice Society of America must band together and make a decision to give Lord Dynamo both Starman's gravity scepter and Green Lantern's power ring. The JSA are not convinced that Lord Dynamo's intentions are good. The WildCat and The Atom search Lord Dynamo's castle only to be greeted by mechanical robots. They also discover a lab full of human remains used in Nazi experiments. This is the proof they need to report to the world of Lord Dynamo's intentions.

This is the third book of a six book series. The story, by Kevin J. Anderson, brings back the golden age of comic book heroes at a time when they were not only fighting super villains but also the axis powers from World War II. I really enjoyed how the writer put a lot of emotion and loyalty in the story. The artwork penciled by Barry Kitson and Gary Erskine is great. They bring the look of a 1940's super team the way they should be portrayed: as defenders of the innocent. The art team draws a lot on emotion; you can see it in all the characters' faces. The coloring by HI FI is superb, bringing out all the great accents of the heroes' costumes and soldiers' uniforms in all the panels. John Watson's detailed cover is definitely “wow” material.

This comic book is a good, nostalgic read and I enjoyed the artwork tremendously. If you are a reader of golden age comics you will no doubt like this book.
