Superman is now in possession of the device that has caused “the vanishing” and Wonder Woman has to get to him first before he realizes it. Fr. Daniel dreams about Superman helping him cure his cancer when the dream turns into a nightmare. Fr. Daniel, desperate for help, finally comes to grip with himself and asks Superman to cure his ills. Superman declines and asserts to Fr. Daniel that if he helps him, then he would have to try and cure the whole world of disease.
Superman comes face to face with his friend Batman. It seems that Superman has some conviction with Batman's harsh ways of justice, and finally confides that he is not very fond of him at all. Wonder Woman is confronted by Mr. Orr while visiting a witch from Amazon Isle. The witch gives Wonder Women a sword to help defeat the one who may cause the catastrophe of a lifetime, Superman. “For Tomorrow Part Seven” sets readers up for a battle between Wonder Woman and Superman but you will have to wait until Superman #211 for the rumble to begin.
The artwork by Jim Lee and Scott Williams is as impressive as ever. The panels are very well drawn and they have quite of bit of detailed pencil work. (For instance the drape of the costumes worn by our heroes: it looks like the clothes were tailored right on them). There is very little action in this issue so Brian Azzarello is building you up via a varied, stunning array of emotions.
With each part of "For Tomorrow" the story gets better and more interesting. I would highly recommend this issue, but the tease factor of the epic battle between Wonder Woman and Superman had me wishing “For Tomorrow.”
