"Branching Out. A Little."

The Blog Bandwagon

When it comes to managing the various aspects of ComicCritique.Com, there’s never a shortage of things to do and seemingly never enough time in which to get them all done. (Thank goodness for our editors Adam and Joe.) I knew that would be the case back in 2004 when these humble ones and zeroes made their first appearance on the ‘net. Yet even knowing that I thought — and still believe — that this site is a worthwhile endeavor. In those moments when I withhold all humility, I sincerly believe we can help move both comics as a medium and the comic book industry forward. In that vein (or perhaps “vain”) I’ve started both a MySpace page and a LiveJournal blog. If there’s a chance that blogging and the networking it can provide will help ComicCritique.Com and in turn our contributors and even the books we review, it’s worth some of my time to pay attention to this particular bandwagon. Also, it will give me a chance to write about some things I might not write about otherwise.

If you’re of a mind to drop by, please do:

You’ll hopefully forgive the modest spelling pun on my initials, “Ehlvee.” It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Coming This Week

Joe’s written two reviews that should go live tonight (Sunday), and at least one of Mr. Daniels’ completed reviews will go live as well. Towards the end of this week look for more audio interviews from SPX 2006. Adam’s brainchild column The Short Shrift will likely have a bye this week, but look for it next week.
